I started learning how to meditate thanks to my mom when I was very small. She was very open to spirituality and the practice of mindfulness. I had no idea when I was tiny that staring into a candle flame in the dark and then closing my eyes to continue seeing the flame was good for me. It was just a thing that I did for a few minutes to calm down. It was exciting to be in the dark and to light a match at that age. Little did I know that flame kindled a life-long fascination and pursuit of wellness.
